It is one of the few examples of an unspoiled bog and it can be easily accessed. A consolidated peat mat 30 feet thick floats on the open water of a deep glacial depression and supports an unusual community of plants, like orchids and carnivorous plants. Adjacent to the site is the historic early 1800’s Hawley Town Common, including the original building foundations, which also has easy walking paths and historic signage. Please RSVP
